“My paintings are about light and color. They are tiny moments when the ordinary becomes extraordinary. The way the light hits a flower petal or the color of a vivid blue sky. I record these moments because they are fleeting and usually go unnoticed. I paint on a large scale to bring attention to the beauty and complexity of small, everyday things. Being a painter has taught me to truly see, to take the time to observe and appreciate the natural world.”
Lori grew up in New Jersey. In 1980, she graduated from Emmanuel College in Boston with a bachelor’s degree in studio art.
