The letter “P” is meaningful to me.  It not only is the first letter in Peggy, it is also the first letter in painting and passion.  I’ve had a lifelong passion for painting.

After earning a degree in fine arts from the University of Chattanooga, I immediately began my painting career.  With marriage, three children and moves to four southern cities, there have been a few interruptions.

My Paintings began in oil, changed to watercolor in Nashville and settled with acrylics in Atlanta.  In Chattanooga I’ve been doing mixed media and I have a special love for collage.  Whether my paintings are traditional or abstract – it is the organization of space, color and pattern that fulfills my creative needs.

For a long time, landscapes have been my specialty – using rich vibrant colors.  Recently my painting “Mountain High” was chosen by the “Keep Georgia Beautiful” commission as the cover for brochures and bookmarks used in their statewide campaign.

My paintings have been juried into numerous shows.
